Karnataka government reduced the stamp duty from 5.% to 2% for property priced below Rs. 20 Lakh and 3% for property priced between Rs. 21 -45 Lakh. Stamp duty remains unchanged for property value more than Rs. 45 Lakh, as earlier the stamp duty is 5% The change in stamp duty came to an effort from March 2021 to boost affordable housing during a covid-19 pandemic.
