How do I get a family tree certificate in Karnataka?

 Here is the step by step procedure to obtain a family tree certificate in Karnataka

  1. Prepare the draft in word format. A draft looks like a below image

2. Buy Rs.100 e-stamp paper from nearest co-operative bank, register office, or court.

3. Print the draft on e-stamp paper.

4. Meet the notary public near you. Carry the following documents for notary verification

  • Death certificate of deceased
  • Relationship proof of family members (An Aadhar or passport)

5. Notary reads the printed Affidavit/certificate and cross verity the proofs.

6. You as a deponent should sign the Affidavit/certificate in front of a notary public. A notary public will seal, attest, sign, and make an entry in a notary book
