What is a khata and b khata, and what is the difference between a khata and b khata?

Legally qualified properties are eligible to receive the Khata Certificate and Khata extract from BBMP.
Illegal & violated properties are not eligible to issue Khata certificate and khata extract from BBMP.
Illegal and Violated properties are registered under FORM ‘B” property register extract. Violations like deviation from approved building plan, building on non-converted land, Safety issues, etc..
The intention of FORM B is to improve the property tax collection.
The concept of A khata and B Khata are purely a local language to classify the legality of property. Officially there are no legal documents to classify the khata.
Khata certificate & extract describes the details of Khata number, ownership name, property measurement, tariff, Name and seal of BBMP authority.
