In Karnataka, download encumbrance certificate from Kaveri online service or apply at your nearest sub-register office.

Property registered before 2004, need to obtain EC only at the respect sub-register office where the property was registered. No option to download EC online.

One can obtain the EC for last 30 years, It means, EC shows the history of transaction & ownership for last 30 years.
